Our curriculum is designed in alignment with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring a high-quality, child-centered approach to early education. Using Development Matters as a guide, we provide rich learning experiences that support children’s development through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions.
The EYFS sets out seven areas of learning and development, which are divided into prime areas—Communication and Language, Physical Development, and Personal, Social, and Emotional Development—and specific areas—Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design. These areas work together to foster well-rounded growth in each child.
Development Matters acts as a non-statutory guide to help practitioners create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. It emphasises the importance of high-quality adult interactions, enabling environments, and a balance between child-led and adult-initiated activities.
Through our curriculum, we aim to nurture children’s curiosity, confidence, and independence, ensuring they develop the foundational skills needed for their next stage of learning. We recognise that each child is unique, and we tailor our approach to meet their individual needs, promoting a love for learning in a safe and supportive setting.
